Meet Miss Lennon. Such a sweet name especially if you are a fan of John Lennon. I was lucky enough to also do the maternity pictures for this family (which I need to post and do a blog link ASAP). But these were so sweet, I needed to share now. You can't tell from these here images, but little miss was quite the wide eyed beauty and didn't sleep much for us, we got a solid 30 minutes of posing and the results are priceless. Hope you love them as much as we do. PS. How handsome is BIG BRO Cavan?!?! Blog readers, today I have the distinct pleasure of introducing you to baby Kaine, who's officially 10 days new! I think we can all agree: those side rolls should earn him a spot on the cover of every baby magazine in the nation! Seriously, I'm practically melting from cuteness overload! Anyway, as you can see from the pictures below, Kaine and I had one of the best sessions together. His mom, Ashley, says the best part of the session "was watching the magic happen. Normally our sweet boy does not like being naked and wakes very easily. It was fun to watch him pose in front of the camera and for us as parents to be directly involved in his shoot." Kaine slept most of the way through the 3 hour session. And when he wasn't sleeping, Kaine was so calm, he couldn’t have been any better. “Going into the shoot, I was extremely nervous for a couple of reasons. First, I was worried my son would be awake the entire time and wouldn't get the quintessential newborn photos. Second, I was concerned that my postpartum, sleep-deprived, unflattering body would be obvious in the photos. Luckily, Jessica captured a number of beautiful photos of not only my son, but of our little family as well. You would have never known that our little guy is a light sleeper or that my husband and I haven't slept in days. We are very happy with the outcome,” says Ashley. Because the shoot went so well, I asked mom if she would share one helpful piece of advice with other mothers planning a newborn session (See – I've got your back, moms around the world). Her biggest piece of advice is: “to those thinking about having their newborn(s) photographed, we would say "trust the photographer." I "pinterested" newborn photography for hours and had all these overwhelming ideas of what our baby's shoot should be like. The day of our shoot, Jessica looked at our baby and created her vision on the fly. It turned out better than we could have imagined."
